This is the fifth edition of our yearly digital newspaper. ANNO will be released every new year to inform you about what happened in the past year in our studio and at our exhibitions.

ANNO 2015/6

It is becoming a tradition that we start the new year with a newsletter. We started this in 2010/1 so this is already the fifth edition of ANNO.
2015 was again a busy year, though we had more time than last year to concentrate on the development of our work. A little less traveling, but enough to keep our mind open. We thank all people who visited our studio, who were inspiring in our work and social network both in real life and on Facebook.

HIGHLIGHTS

Some events we like to mention here: Schwarzmalen 2, the project of Marja van Putten and Astrid Moors. And for Wim Vonk GRAIK (Gerrit Rietveld Academie & Ik) and the studio performances with Nina & Carles and Thoth and Angelique.This year ended in a sudden moving of the studio space: From January 2016 we are situated in Rijnsburg (Katwijk) in a former library in the old party of the town. Ofcourse Klaas de Jonge's collection of African Art is also moved.

STUDIO PERFORMANCES

This year Wim organized two studio performances: two couples, musicians who reacted on his kinetic installation.

TRIBAL BAROQUE

visited Amsterdam and stayed again at Wim's house. During their stay they played in Weesp in Wim's newest installation. A small audience was able to take part in this event.

1. RIJNSBURG LIBRARY

We have many ideas to organize exhibitions, open gallaries and contact both the public and the artscene from this town.

2. 37PK HAARLEM

30 oktober t/m 18 december 2016 doet Wim Vonk mee aan een expositie in Haarlem georganiseerd door Pietsjanke Fokkema. De expositie is in 37PK in Haarlem met Saskia Laurant, Joost Elschot en Pietsjanke Fokkema.

3. SET#NET

New plans are being made.

4. SOAK

MOVING FROM REINWARDTSTRAAT

Since 1995 Marja worked and lived at Reinwardtstraat 17. This studio has been both her art studio and her arttrust office for all these years.
From February 2016 she will move to Prins Hendrikkade 105-II. Wim and Marja will live there together.
Partly the office of Arttrust will be situated at the third floor Prins Hendrikkade 105-III.

SET#Slatuinen
30 APRIL TOT 10 MEI 2015

Binnen het project SET#Slatuinen gaan 14 installatiekunstenaars een verbinding aan met een locatie: natuurtuin & kas aan de Slatuinen, met een kubus en met elkaar. Dit heeft geresulteerd in een site specific expositie voor de bewoners van Amsterdam de Baarsjes en voor iedereen die geïnteresseerd is in kunst en natuur. De expositie zal te zien zijn in de kas en de tuin van Natuurtuin Slatuinen in Amsterdam West.

The Armando Museum exposed some instruments and pictures of us while we are making a sculpture for Armando in the vitrine of the documentation center.

HITCHIN

Wim and Tom Vonk visited Malcolm and Mary Rigby at their farm in Hitchin, England. They also visited the studio of Graham Boyd again.

SET#Margalef

We missed the Setnet project in Margalef(ES) because of Wim's broken finger in the house of Ester Eva Damen and her friend. They are planning to set up an artist in residence. Koos van der Elzen, Martine de Jong, Ester Eva Damen did the tryout. We are going this year.

Ralf Westerhof build his big light sculpture for the Amsterdam Light Festival in our studio with his assistents and colleagues. One of the assistents was Tom Vonk.

Pietsjanke Fokkema visited Wim's studio with her students. Wim gave two workshops about found objects and materials.

KEES VAN PUTTEN

Kees van Putten made a glossy and flexible mobile home outof their fire brigade bus. Marja and Kees picked up the bus in Portugal to drive it back to Rotterdam.

KOMAKANDI

Bia Maas en Hilda van Raaij hebben Komakandi (kom bij mekander) opgezet om samen met de bevolking aan een betere toekomst te werken. Luister mee naar het verhaal over het dorp Pikin Slee, Suriname haar bewoners en mooie initiatieven. Ze kwamen naar Weesp om te kijken of we een keer iets kunnen doen in Suriname.
